About Me.
Taylor (TJ) is a versatile creative from Walled Lake, Michigan. TJ began her artistic journey at the age of two when she started dancing at Dance Dynamics Performing Arts Center in her hometown. After training here in all styles of dance, voice, and acting for 16 years, TJ continued to pursue her creative dreams with the support of a college education. She is attended Oklahoma City University and received a Bachelor’s of Science in Dance and Arts Management.
TJ aspires to immerse herself in all aspects of the arts and entertainment industry. Along with being a dancer, singer, and actor, TJ is also an arts manager, choreographer, instructor, model, web designer, and overall creator.
TJ values the connectedness of the arts. Therefore, she is open to collaborating with any and all other artists and organizations.

Taylor’s Life.

Taylor is a born and raised Michigander from a large, loving family of seven. Taylor’s family is her biggest support system - she considers family to be a top priority in her life. Her parents provided her with everything she needed to chase her dreams while enjoying her child and teenage life. Taylor’s siblings are considered to be her best friends. Taylor remains close to her family and they continue to support her in all her future endeavors.
Taylor was introduced to the arts at the age of two when she was enrolled in her first dance class at Dance Dynamics Performing Arts Center (DDPAC) in Walled Lake, Michigan. Taylor trained at this performing arts center for 16 years. She eventually graduated as the first student to graduate as a 16+ year Legacy Graduate without being related to a faculty or staff member. DDPAC provided Taylor with a strong foundation in all styles of dance, voice, and acting. In addition to her family, DDPAC taught Taylor all the tools she needed to not only become a successful artist but member of society.
As an adult, Taylor considers herself to be a well rounded, humble, and educated woman because of the influential people with which she spent her early life. She is grateful for having a childhood surrounded by a nurturing and inspiring environment.

Taylor committed to Oklahoma City University (OCU) with the intent to further her education while continuing to chase her dreams in the arts. She attended the Ann Lacy School of Dance and Entertainment at OCU, which is consistently ranked as one of the premiere dance and entertainment schools in the United States. Taylor graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Dance and Arts Management. This degree is a versatile one that is unlike any other degree; it had Taylor training in dance performance while allowing her to explore the managerial intricacies of the arts.
Taylor’s arts management curriculum spanned from arts production to entertainment business. She has taken courses in Stage Management, Arts Production, Nonprofit Arts Organizations, Touring Arts Organizations, Producing, Contracts, Development & Fundraising, and Dance Studio Management. She has also taken various marketing, ethics, accounting, and finance courses.

The Ann Lacy School of Dance and Entertainment has prepared Taylor for an enduring career in both dance performance and arts management. Taylor is thankful for the community, opportunities, and education she has gotten out of her four years in this prestigious program.

At the beginning of her collegiate years, Taylor became a member of the Beta Omicron chapter of Gamma Phi Beta at Oklahoma City University. An organization that values love, labor, learning, and loyalty, Taylor believes that her core values directly align with the Gamma Phi Beta organization.
Gamma Phi Beta is a Greek organization dedicated to its vision of inspiring the highest type of womanhood. Gamma Phi Beta’s philanthropic focus is “Building String Girls”, with the mission of providing experiences and resources that build spiritual, mental and social resiliency in girls.
Gamma Phi Beta has allowed Taylor to grow into a woman of character while being surrounded by strong, inspiring women that share her values. She has built lifelong relationships while making unforgettable memories. Through Gamma Phi Beta, Taylor has immersed herself in a community committed to love, service, empowerment, and unity.

Dance
Taylor is trained in the following styles of dance: ballet, jazz, tap, rhythm tap, musical theater, hip hop, commercial, precision, contemporary, modern, partnering, pointe, ballroom, and more.
Voice
Taylor has been trained in both class and private voice. She considers herself to be a strong soloist and ensemble singer with a wide vocal range.
Acting
Taylor is trained in all genres of acting, from comedy to drama to improv and beyond. She has experience and training in both film and live/stage acting.
Modeling
Taylor considers herself a natural at striking a pose! In addition to performing, she loves to express herself and assist others in expressing themselves. Taylor has always been comfortable being in front of the camera. She started modeling for family and friends at a young age and has since shot with various photographers around the country. Taylor has experience in all styles of modeling.
Arts Management
With Taylor’s college education and natural drive, she is an exceptional leader who strives for excellence. Taylor has an extensive portfolio and resume in arts management experience. Her specialities include, but are not limited to: arts administration, leadership and mentorship, company management, emcee and public speaking, marketing, technical production, dance studio and office management, and reception.
Choreography and Instruction
Taylor has a deep understanding on the choreographic and pedagogical process from her early training years, college education, and professional experience. She has educational and professional credits in both dance choreography and dance instruction. Taylor has experience and confidence working with all ages and identities of artists.

While the arts are an integral part of her life, Taylor also has an established identity within herself and is proud of the human she has become. She likes to call herself a human first!
Outside of the arts, Taylor enjoys spending time with people she cares about most: her family and friends. Taylor identifies herself as both an introvert and extrovert. She loves spending time with herself while also surrounding herself with others and making a positive impact on their lives. Some of Taylor’s hobbies include: reading, crochet, listening to music and podcasts, spending time in nature, and exercising her body and mind.

She does not discriminate when it comes to her future work, such that it aligns with her values and goals. Taylor wishes to balance dance performance and arts management such that she builds an enduring, impactful career in the arts industry.
